Totally appropriate comment, but that risk is mitigated in our situation by the following:

1) We are a department of engineers (I’ve known some dumb engineers, but can vouch for all in our department being capable and meticulous).
2) There will be a required training on Li-Ion safety that must be completed before lights are issued to an individual.
3) The lights have both LVP and on-board USB recharging circuits. So the light will not over-drain the battery, and the battery will rarely come out of the light.
