First post……
I’ve been waiting for the rumored 2018 model to be released. I noticed a new torch on Amazon:-
Link
The description indicates:-
“ThruNite T10 V2 Magnetic Tailcap EDC Flashlight 550 lumens, CREE XP-G3, 5 Modes, for Emergency and perfect backup for Pocket, Powered by 1x14500 or AA Battery (Not included) CW”
Would this be a 2018 version or some other variant I have not seen before?

Medium mode is at 5 lumens? Seriously Thrunite? Seems like a dud.

Thanks for the feedback
My 2014 version is starting to play up (switch) and time to upgrade.
Would have preferred an NW color; but only CW is available at the moment
I have one on order…….

My Thrunite T10 is my favorite single AA light.

From the description, memory mode means it really only turns on to Low mode. So…not really memory mode unless you like Low mode.
-Firefly: 0.5 Lm(49 days),
-Low: 5 Lm(2.1 days),
-High: 180Lm(95 minutes),
-Strobe:180Lm(200 minutes)
Memory Function:
The light will turn on in the last mode accessed, except for firefly, high and strobe.

T10 V2 received yesterday (Cool White version)
Solid construction and no problems with the side button and modes etc. Nice that the moonlight works with a 14500 (a bit brighter than the original T10 I have; but also more useful)
However, the tint of the light is terrible……… I haven’t seen a bad tint like this since the early days of LED torches from several years ago. A noticeable yellow/green tinge around the hot spot and inconsistent color.
Purchased the SP10A V2.0 at the same time and although the quality wasn’t quite as good as the T10; the color was a very good neutral white and just as bright on high with 14500 batteries; along with good usable moonlight mode. SP10A V2.0 is a better touch in my opinion and significantly cheaper.
The T10 V2 is being returned to Amazon; disappointing since my original (2012?) is better (even with the switch - which I may have a spare for somewhere). I’d read that the XP-G3 LED may have tint issues and this seems to be correct…….
Possible that I received a faulty T10 V2 model……… but I’m happy with the SP10A V2.0 and simpler to do a return than take the risk of finding the replacement has the same issues and the hassle you have to go through etc
