You gotta see this! Kid doing one o those “drop/hammer tests” on a brand new phone that generates millions of view with some unexpected results for the battery.
Y’all would appreciate this (the battery part is right at the end)

Link isn’t working for me. ;_;
Febreeze ftw!
Poisonous chemicals are a lot stronger then an odour neutralizer!
great video, very funny!
btw a non proxy link may be more useful
As P.T. Barnum said… “there’s one born every minute”.
Wow. O_O Poor phone!
Febreeze? :Sp Need to wear a respirator (P100 organic vapor, multi gas, acid gas cartridge) & do it outside if your going to smash a device that contains li-ion. Available at hardware stores or amazon.
I wonder if the guy can still breathe/speak? It sounded like the cell got revenge!!
To me, those coughs sounded like he would have inhaled a good bit. He could still call out at the end.
Needless waste of a nice phone by a spoilt git…
Pity there was no fire.
Saw that video earlier today, could guess what was about to happen from the video title :Sp
How much do you think he shortened his life with that stunt?
I see the hammer is not the only tool.
This numbnut is obviously getting in training for a future Darwin award!
I was honestly hoping for an explosion. Very disappointed in that weak lithium!
Not enough… J)
But i want numbers, i do not function on hyperbole
What would he have inhaled anyways?
Looking at an MSDS for Li-Po, damage to cell would release flammable vapours:
Damaged or opened cells or batteries may result in rapid heat and the release of flammable vapors.
- Emergency and First Aid Information
In case of contacting the materials from a damaged or ruptured cell or battery:
Eye contact: Washing immediately with plenty of water and soap or for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Skin Contact: Washing immediately with water and soap.
Inhalation of Vented Gas: Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention
Samsung make their own Li-Po cells? I have a Sony Li-Po in Samsung-branded plastic housing…
Washing the eyes with soap and water is gonna sting. I don’t think I’ll be hammering on any cells.
Perhaps Nasa should reconsider what hey use to propel the next generation of the space shuttle
Well if other posts by people effected by inhaling the gasses are anything to go by, he wont know his lungs are stuffed for a day or two after the event. Then years later, he will still be breathing like he has emphysema.
