The C8 flashlights are an exception to the rule. Almost all Chinese flashlights go from good tp worse.. But the C8 flashlights are the opposite. It started with some cheap quality C8's in the past with the famous Kaidomain C8 for $16... But they were (to my understanding) all low quality compared to the Convoy and Astrolux C8s these days.. There had been a few other higher quality ones, but to my kbowledge the first C8's were of low quality....

Well, since this new C8 will start out as high-quality since Simon will produce it….better buy it now before the others make poor copies. :smiling_imp:

I reviewed the C8+ last night, I aimed it at some trees 50m away thinking that’ll be it for real world use, I was shocked to notice part of the hotspot was lighting up a tree nearly as brightly 50 metres past it. It spanked all my EDC throwers but fell short of the Italia Cometa’s throw.

I’m no clicky fan but I don’t like the default UI. It’s slow to get to the highest mode and it’s easy to skip past it to strobe. Then you have to scroll through several modes again to get to high. Mode memory is disabled out of the box which suits me though, a light starting in moonlight is the next best thing to a lock-out.

Since it’s got biscotti UI, you should be able to reprogram it to hide blinky modes altogether.

I will, Tbh I wouldn’t mind them being there as a default if there was a hold for instant turbo feature.

I think i have just had one of these arrive in the mail, it looks great and feels great in the hand it wont be testing for a week or so though. Feels well made, looks good and the knurling actually feels super grippy.

if im getting mixed up sorry.
