New EagTAC super-Thrower ?

Saw this here:

Does anyone have any additional info about this? Claims to throw >900m

Interesting! Got a link?

Link?

It was a teaser and no other links were given, just the photo.
Looks like quite a bruiser huh?

i like the fact that it has the front side switch. good job there et

Got a link? It must be more than that photo since you somehow know it should throw 900 meters.

Screenshot from a Facebook page…. that’s all I know :stuck_out_tongue:

edit :

900m = 200kcd for XM-L2

IMO MX25L4’ bezel is around 85-90mm

not XM-L2 but SST-90 :frowning:

P-bin! I wonder how the batteries are laid out.

$325? I’ll pass. But hey, it looks sweet.

325? ROFL.

Like anyone needs anything more then modded TK61, which blows away this light. For less price, and much better runtime.

too much $… probably because of the sst90 led

could be interesting candidate to swap to XML2?

Still. Close to 3K lumens. A XM-L2 will not get close to that. Should really light up the ground around too!

Arent the SST-90s around the $50 mark? XM-L2 is around $5? You would want to be buying it as a host and not a complete light to make that change I would think.

Who am I kidding, budget light forum maybe, but yall be crazy enough…

Did yall say $*3 2 5*?! Not no, but NO WAY! I don’t have that kinda of funding. But neat light for the Bill Gates of flashlights. I could have about 20 highly modded skykings. :Sp

Yeah… the price tag really puts me off.
I’d rather buy a Vinh-modified TK61 and save myself a whole lot of money.
But I gotta admit it looks real fierce 8)

yes… iirc sst90 and sbt90 are like 8-10 times the cost of an xml2

on the other side of the fence is the nitecore tm36 - again very pricey… but good construction… vinh hit well over 700klux swapping the tm36s sbt90 to a de domed xml2

but i do agree… why pay the premium for a luminous led light when you are going to toss the $50 led? lol.

Looks like there might also be an option for an SBT-90 MB or SBT-70 PB. Those are over $60 each in most cases. Round die on the SBT-70, better throw with an excellent beam profile. And in Neutral White. 203Kcd right out of the box for the SBT-70, vs. 93.4Kcd for the SST-90. These specs are the MX25L2T, which uses a pair of 32650 cells. Don’t know if the MX25L4T will be set up the same or not.

3.6” head so it’s a nice sized light. Interesting even with the price as the Eagle Tac has exceptional regulation and mode selection.

They also state 2850+ LED lumens for the SST-90, 2210 ANSI lumens, while the SBT-70 is in the 1585 lumen ANSI range. These should be very nice lights. What a price though…

Edit: Looks like in the MX25L2T the battery pack is proprietary with in light charging. So there’s some more explanation for the cost, you won’t have to buy cells for it. Just Sayin! :stuck_out_tongue: How much did you pay for your TK61? And how much were 4 top cells? Total cost? Yeah yeah yeah. I got the extended tube for my TK61 and have 8 Panasonic 3400mAh cells. It seriously adds up! Even at a sale price of $130 shipped by the time I got the accessory tube and cells I’m up around $200 for the TK61, and THEN I started modding it! $11 for a high power driver and some 8 blown XM-L2’s later… coulda just bought one of these and been done with it. :stuck_out_tongue:
