New guy from US

Hi guys, new guy here from the USA… total newby to flashlights. Always enjoyed them and picked up a few here and there. I was always a Gadget guy so of course my interest has grown. Started to repair a couple of torches and looked on the net and found this place….Looks like a lot of info and some great folks, so here I am.

Welcome to BLF timebndt!

Welcome. U have found the right place to feed your hunger.

Welcome to BLF! What part of GA? I spent two years in the NE.

Welcome , timebndit .

Before this calendar year has ended you will probably own a flooder , a thower , an EDC , a headlamp , and a keychain light , and at least one backup for each of these categories .

You will become somewhat of an 'expert' on flashlights , and will start ordering them for your friends and family .

After you have aquired enough flashlights , you will begin to have some idea of what you believe will be the perfect light for you .

Eventually , you will realize that there is no commercially available flashlight that is perfect for your tastes and you will experiment with modifying your lights or purchasing a custom flashlight .

We will gladly assist you on your journey to total enlightenment .

Welcome to BLF, you’ll like it here

WOW, what a welcome, i have come to the right place, I am in s.e Ga. about 30 miles s of Savannah
I was just outside doing some honey-dos and counted about 5 or six lights and thougtht to myself I must be sick……I WANT MORE….lol
Thanks for the warm welcome I hope you guys don’t mind a lot of newby questions

Welcome , timebndit .

Before this calendar year has ended you will probably own a Defiant , a fandyfire , a xeno , a zebralight , and a thrunite , and at least one broken light in each of these categories .

You will become somewhat depressed and obsessed about flashlights , and will start drinking heavily in your garage despite your friends and family begging you to stop sleeping in the car .

After you have aquired enough flashlights , you will begin to believe you have super powers and have no idea where you work or what your name is .. Believing you can fly you'll jump off of the top of your tool shed .Wearing your underwear on the outside of your clothing .

Eventually , you will realize that there is no commercially available flashlights that come in plaid and that will drive you to take up shoplifting to support your habit ... you will experiment with diving lights in your childrens kiddy pool.

We will gladly assist you in your addiction leading to the edge of total insanity .

#Welcome to blf

It's nice to meet you, timebndit!

Boaz, you wear underwear on you shed roof?Thats just weird man! Welcome Timebndit! As you can see we all are very normal people here. Also remember, the best way to test the waterproofing of your flashlights is to use them in the shower. This is a completely normal behavior!-Rick

What is this “underwear” of which you speak?

I believe the underwear in question comes from post #8.
Boaz, have you stopped taking your meds again. :open_mouth:
