New guy in Pacific NW

Hello, my name is Scott and I have a flashlight addiction….

It started in the late 1990’s when I used a 3 D-cell maglight for the first time. I graduated from that to a couple incandescent rechargeable lights, and then my first serious flashlight, a surefire G2 in the early 2000’s. I also went through a Streamlight Scorpion and a few others around that time. I have no idea what happened to them all but I still have that little G2.

That wasn’t enough though…I wanted THROW, and I found it in a Streamlight Ultrastinger around 2005. That light is still in use today. It’s mounted on my office wall charging as I type. But I’ve graduated to LED lights now. I have a number of high lumen weapon lights (inforce, Streamlight etc). Recently I’ve been “upgrading” my EDC lights. Picked up a little Olight M18 Striker and a Fenix PD35 tac. LOOOVE the little Fenix! And yesterday I took delivery of my newest toy, an Olight SR52UT. Wow! I may never touch that Ultrasringer again!

Welcome Scott.
We are here for you to fuel your addiction as much as possible.

It's nice to see you, Sgav8r!

Hello and welcome

Welcome Scott!

Welcome Scott
At least you’re on the dry side of the state
It gets pretty dark and wet here on the coast - more need for light - less time outside to use them.

Welcome.

Have you no Gortex hat and coat? Get out, get wet, and enjoy the night………

This is why we have flash lights to go out in the dark and look around!

Better put a leash on the wallet. It’s almost happy lumentimes day.

Welcome from another PNW guy. Time for a second job or at least a second/secret bank account if you are married. I started with a few nice commercial lights, then a few more hot rods developed here. Now I have a soldering iron on order, a few LEDs, and a few other components incoming to try and duplicate some of the amazing things discussed/shared here.

Welcome fellow flashaholic!!

Great to have you!

Create a budget and stick to it !

This place can make you spend!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Seems like the common theme is “watch your wallet” hahaha. Thankfully “flashlighting” seems like a slightly more econimical hobby than some of my others (guns and photography)!
