Just checking around the internet and found a few newly listed items. I see the multi-XML lights are starting to be produced not just by Keygos now. That TrustFire TR-J16 5xT6 has a real nice look to it.
The J16 and J18 could be interesting, wonder if the J16 equals the J12 for output and if the J18 actually beats it or if it's too softly driven like the rest of the 7x lights.
I really like that WF-666! I wish Ric would have posted a pic of the drop-in so we can see if it threads in. Quality look fantastic on every other part of it. Beautiful threads.
Well, both the Trustfires are listed as, 1.5A x 5 and 1.5A x 7, so they're soft-driven, but should yield long runtimes.
I was really hoping the industry would have taken more notice of the great success of the DRY and attempt to follow it with one of these multi-XML lights, but no such luck yet.
Hey Pok, I think a number of us would love to see how the Marsfire stacks up against the TR J12, which seems to be the base-line multi-XML that gets compared to many others.
Hi folks, Ric contacted me quickly as usual regarding the Trustfire J18. It seems all these types of lights are running at a current of 1.5a per LED. So according to Ric, it's less bright than the DRY. But I'll take that as meaning a DRY on Turbo mode. I'm sure normal High mode is a different story and may equal or perhaps surpass it. I'd say any of these Trustfires will be really good, they look great, and a great light if you want longer run times using 26650 cells.
So I'll go out on a limb here and also say the SkyRay 856 I should have shortly may also be driven the same as well, but I'm still looking forward to having a very cool looking 2x26650 light.
I already have a TRJ-12 5xCree, I wonder if there is any noticeable difference in output of the TRJ-18 over the TRJ-12? Anybody seen any light output measurements yet for these 2 lights?
