Is the copper yellow or red copper ?

from the photo, the AA Copper tool looks like copper not brass
I hope someone (maybe you?) will confirm, when they receive the light

copper = red copper = purple copper

brass = yellow copper = “messing”

The ‘Full’ Copper Tool is indeed actual (Raw/Red) Copper. No coating, will patina.
The Ti Tool (new edition) has a brass (yellow) section in the head.

Not sure if the outer ring is actually Brass or a plated surface as on their clips and Lumintop Prince Mini…

I really have to spare some to get those 2 lights :person_facepalming:

Hi all after speaking with someone from lumintop it turns out it’s not brass. It is a coated red copper piece. Looking closely at mine where the bunny is etched in there’s definitely a hint of copper showing through. Bit hard to capture on a photo as it’s so shiny.

Hard to believe it’s copper with a coating tbh. Looks verry much like brass.
If so maybe someone is willing to polish the coating off.

probably a sharing issue, you need to set the photo share rights in your Google photo’s
Sometimes BLF just cuts the link somewhere due to the length, if you insert the Link using the insert link button it might work

That works, but it is still difficult to see, the material below the lumintop engraving might be real copper

Looks like copper indeed, which is a pity because I like brass better for this purpose (structurally stronger, while still having good heat conductance). I ordered one (from Fasttech, they are cheap, and you can use code BLF for a bit less even) but not sure I would have done that if I knew it was copper.
