Looks pretty nice actually, plus you get 2 heads, a mid size for more flood and a large head for more throw. I may have to pull the trigger.
Nice! I wonder if the parts are interchangeable with Jetbeam’s
Very handsome styling. But for $54, I think I'd just rather have two flashlights. :D
Middle head looks to be about P60 size.
He used to sell that series of lights individually. IIRC there was a 14500, the smaller head 18650 (tactical style) and the larger head. Each had the magnetic ring control. Looks like he no longer carries the 3 of them but has reduced it to the one body with the 2 heads. He was selling them for about $25 a piece which was very tempting. The thing that kept me from buying one was the 25% low mode. Far too bright to be useful so I passed.
+1. Might as well just get a p60 host and a marsfire stl-v2. Same price and you get two lights.
Temptation around every corner!
This would have been much better as a 26650 format light (IMHO)
Magnetic control rings are the way to go and the interchangeable head design is a really cool thing in it’s own right.
If it had a belt clip I’d buy 2 in a heartbeat
Also having an aspheric head would make this THE light to have as long as it’s driven well without PWM issues.
Before 2 days I bought precisely the same setup from cnqualitygoods, I asked Ric if he can sell me additional head with that flashlight, ie. flashlight with 2 heads (for 1$ higher price ), it was for my friend who is a hunter. HE really appreciates when flashlight can change modes by turning of the head or something (like JEtbeam BC40 for example), because he uses it with pressure switch, so its far more suitable to change modes that way, if needed.
So, this is maybe my idea
I love magnetic ring controlled flashlights. Looks good to me.
It’s always a little bit cheaper to purchase from his “retail” site compared to his “wholesale” site if you’re looking for just one light.
It’s definitely an interesting light but out of my price range for “budget” magnetic control. For some reason that’s the type of light I’m willing to spend more on to get a quality product. Who knows, maybe it’s a well built light.
I just received this set.
I can only recommend this light.
I cant do thorough comparison now, but these reflectors are really good. Even smaller one produces hotspot, and bigger one has really tight hotspot and this is a thrower.
I think these reflectoras are optimal, and best things is that flashlight isnt to big at all.
It can be very, very nice gun light too - its a pitty it isnt little cheaper.
Its well driven, so you dont need to change driver…
I think that build quality is significantly above average for budget flashlight.
Only little con (rather subjectively) that this ring you turn for changing modes feels little fragile, I dont know, little weak, although it performs without problems.
I recommend it for sure, very good flashlight
I think this flashlight s really suitable for group buy, maybe with some cool BLF engraving (because it doesnt have any writtings)
Does it flicker between settings, say switching from mode to mode?
DON…
Hmm, I’ve already sent it away to my friend who ordered it through me, but I think it doesnt flicker (I’m 70% sure )
Maybe only sometimes.
But even if this would be real con, its still very very good.
Its really well-measured flashlight. Not to big, not to heavy, really good reflector, good driuver, well-built, very good UI
And its out of stock now… (on both websites)
