Howdy. Just received a new ThorFire light for review, the TK18. It is an 18650 light, with XP-L2 emitter, stainless steel bezel, decent clip …. the usual stuff. What is different on this offering is the unique UI. The light has a tailcap switch to turn the light on/off. While on, the side switch has 2 modes. The normal mode is ramping! Hold the switch to ramp up or down. Ramping is too slow in my opinion. Perhaps they can address this. The other mode is accessed by pressing the side switch quickly 4 times while the light is on. From there you can step thru low, med, high, and turbo with a button press. Low is 3 lumens, med is 100, high is 500, and turbo is 1200. Triple click anytime to get to the popular bike strobe mode (500 lumens). Light has memory, thermal timed step-down, battery indicator, and low voltage protection. Thank you Thorfire for the innovation. Perhaps other manufacturers that haven’t already will follow suit. The light is a tad long at 5.2 inches. I like the TK18. Only drawback is the slowness of the ramping in my opinion.
The TK18 is available thru Amazon with a 20% discount code:

Thank you Miranda for the opportunity to review another great light from Thorfire.

……will add a video soon to show ramping
video is up. from the moment you see the beam you can count until you see the flash (I think it is around 6 seconds). After that the screen goes black for a few seconds and then you can see the bike strobe flash about 8 times. Apologize for the video, not my forte for sure.
