I don't like the design much, I find the ET d25a much nicer.

$39.95 is a little steep for such a small light. I cannot recognize it is a T10 design after all the changes. But it looks pretty sweet.

nice looking light. Appears to be available now at Amazon. Wondering if this light will have the same issues as the Neutron 1A?

Looks pretty on the outside (aside from the large-ish high-contrast logo), but I see some downsides which make it a no-buy for me:

  • Cool white XP-G2 only. No neutral white and/or high CRI version available.
  • Has mode memory, but I would rather it always turn on in the lowest mode.
  • No “medium” mode; just “firefly”, “low”, and “high”.
  • No word on if it uses PWM.

Some other things look a little odd too, so I’d want to at least wait for a review or two:

  • The published specs keep changing, and make claims which are not really possible (780 lumen-hours from a single AA battery? No.).
  • The high mode is most likely just a turbo, since stainless steel won’t shed the heat very well. Does it have a step-down?
  • It can supposedly work as a twisty even though it has a stainless steel body. Did they anodize the steel threads somehow or is it a battery crusher or did they do something clever with different metals inside? (twisty is a nice option though, for silent operation)
  • I’m a little wary of metal buttons until a reviewer confirms that it won’t stick or let water in.
