Would it be beneficial to get one of these pressure switches and then cut the wires off and solder them onto DMM leads to get a more realistic real-world measurement of tail cap draw?

This one is for a C8 but would fir others as well.
Just seems like a better way than trying to press the leads onto part of the body tube and battery.
Also, I got another DMM which I think is better than the ones I have been using today and it seems to read lower amp readings than the other one.
Do the cheaper gauge leads give higher or lower readings?
