Newb first post with upgrade question about surefire upgrade

First of all, I’ve been “lurking” here for some time and very interested and happy with info I’ve picked up. Got my first Solarforce body and LED drop in and charger for 18650 recently. My son caught me playing with it right after i got it and insisted he wanted one for Christmas, so back in the packaging it went to be put in his stocking! (and an excuse for me to buy another for myself). Fun but basic stuff. Now waiting on 880 lm P60 drop in for my original Surefire P6 weaponlight.

My question: I also have an original Surefire Defender (Incan) I’d like to upgrade. Prefer 1 or 3 mode LED drop in. This is a different size than the P60? Recommendations?

For the defender you need a much rarer more expensive drop in. You would probably be better off selling it on CPF and using that money to buy a L2P.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. This was going to be my “pistol” flashlight and EDC. I want good throw and was looking at the JetBeam RRT lights. Any suggestions? Again single or 3 mode, strobe, etc OK if they are “hidden”
