I’ve been reading posts from BLF for several months now. Decided it was time to introduce myself.
It was a long journey here. It started when I took up coyote hunting a few years ago and read about night hunting with red LED flashlights. I started looking for these lights, at a price I could afford. So…I went from:

In addition to 5,000 different websites (or so it seemed), I also looked at flashlights anytime I entered a store.
On one of those trips, I stumbled into some 100 Lumen “tactical” lights at give-away clearance prices. Got home, popped in the included heavy-duty AAA batteries, went outside, and pushed the switch. Wow - I couldn’t believe how bright it was (this was, after all, my first LED flashlight other than the tiny key-chain types).
I finally ordered a pair of Solarforce L2Ps, drop-ins, batteries, etc. directly from Solarforce. Loved them.
Then I realized I was acting…strangely. I really liked those flashlights. Liked them so much I kept them with me to show off to people. Studied the threads to admire the machining (and I’m not a mechanical kind of guy). Tried to convince my wife that everyone in the family should have at least one. Took them apart and put them back together repeatedly just… well, just because.
Does any of this sound familiar to any of you? I’m not becoming addicted, am I?
It’s not like I’ve purchased any more flashlights. I just spend time trying to learn more about them. Thinking about trying to build my own P60 drop-in. Thinking about what I could buy next, even though I am not addicted and will never buy another flashlight!!!

Please tell me. Be honest. I’m not becoming addicted, am I?
