Not sounding too bad at all so far. I will be awaiting your final results. These would be nice in my DQG II.

Sorry for the dumb question but... do you need special charger for Ni-Zn batts? :shy:

Hi SashiX

yes you do i use the charger i got with my powergenix batts

but there are chargers on the site i bought my batts from for very little money my batts were 8 euroes for 8 AAAs

that was with shipping chargers

There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers.

The cells require either a dedicated Ni-Zn charger (often sold with starter pack of cells) or a hobby charger. The kits can often be found at a deep discount in clearance or dollar stores.

and you gave one

my friend we are not all in the USA (Spain ) no dollar stores

One would think that with your stated location being an English-speaking country, you wouldn't have as much trouble comprehending my post.

Was the inclusion of the phrase 'dollar store' posted after 'clearance (store)' too USA-centric for you ?

Not everyone has a Carrefour or Argos in their backyard, as they do in Spain (and Britain.)

I suppose the info about the dedicated charger/hobby charger was illegible as well...

Hehe, thanks for the link and info, Barrie & Chicago ;)

Found maaaany interesting stuff in that store, but... don't know, too many "1800 mAh" AAA batts  Have tried some "other brand" AA batts in the past. Died after 1 year of normal use :( And from now, I only/prefer to buy original, brand stuff (Varta & GP are my favs, but will take Duracell, Energizer and Eneloops too :P ). The difference in price between brand batts and "other brand" is much less than between li-ion cells (AW and others vs. Trustfire/Ultrafire).

UPDATE on the fly  : looks like those AAA lights I wanted to buy aren't brighter with Ni-Zn :~ Hm, so not all lights gain brightness with Ni-Zn, right?
