Hihi, New guy into a new town. Nice to meet you all !

Been wondering around to look for review on certain torchlight, end up into a new town community.

Kinda look into moding, anyone could provide me with link to basic structure of LED flashlight ? (barrel, LED, driver, controller, cap, reflector, lens, etc)

Howdy! This is a good resource:

There are also other resources at the bottom left of this site.

Welcome. The Info’s all arranged in the Forum topics, see the Main menu. Poke around and see what tickles your fancy. Ask lots of questions and read.

It's a pleasure to know you, guitar89!

Welcome to BLF!

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Old Lumens goes over the basic parts of a light here:

just look over some information yesterday, do know more about the details.
But if I want to know what is the driver used in my torchlight, how should I know ? (or know their spec only, such as power supply range, etc)

Welcome to BLF! Stock driver info will be tough to figure out. About all you can figure out is input current, output current, PWM frequency, and duty cycle (all with a multimeter capable of doing so). Input voltage range could be tested, but you'd likely kill the driver finding it's upper limit :) . If you can post closeup macro pics of the driver with it's component labels readable, then someone may be able to give you an idea based on the component specs. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to identify if it's a boost or buck driver too.

haha, the spec i want to find out most is their maximum input voltage range
