I can’t wait!! This was on my facebook page so I’m wondering if it will hit the market soon or hopefully it’s out now!!!

Thanks for sharing that, I have not seen it… Now I feel like I should delete mine…
I have no problem passing on the EA4 since it only has a 60 lumen low and unimpressive runtime but this one is another story. I will have to check into this puppy. 800 hours on 8*AA!!! Nice! I can't help but wonder what this light could have done if it used 2*32650 instead of low mAh AA cells.
Now why on Earth does MagLite not offer something like this?
Not enough of a profit margin probably.
Man… And to think I sworn off nitecore after all the bullying…
Fasttech… Think under $60 is possible?
that tree is like 100 yards away ea8 beam shot
Wow! Too bad I already bought one!
I really want to buy this light but it takes 8 AA batteries. That is $5 worth of alkaline batteries or $20 worth of eneloops.
To me even for the average person I think taking the 18650 plunge would be a better option. Or am I missing something?
You can go to just about any convenient store in just about any country I imagine and get new cells for it. That and no li-ion risk. Also, these 4x18650 lights I imagine some people are loading them up with $40+ in cells alone
Many people have nimhs already though, and/or have chargers for them. There are still dangers, but not like with 18650 lithium batteries... this light has flashaholic features without requiring a learning curve in battery safety.
You can buy cheap alkalines pretty cheap in bulk, and $20 for 8 batteries you can stick in remotes, and other stuff, is a better option for most people vs $30+ for 18650 batteries they can only use in a flashlight, a $20-$50 charger, and having to use a multimeter.
yeah i know right… im pretty much over the whole nitecore thing, but i dont feel like paying full price for this one… i will prob wait till i see it in the b/s/t or something
Did they fix the bezel gap and rattle with the EA8?
I have a new EA4 XM L2 and there is no rattle at all. There is a very small gap between the bezel and the body of the light but I can’t for the life of me see why that could be a problem and I doubt I would have ever known it was there if I hadn’t read about it here. More important to me is the lack of a lower low mode. Still, this little jewel is destined to become one of my very favorite lights. It looks to me like Nitecore has addressed my only wish in the EA 8 over the EA 4 and that is a lower low.
i have the second batch of ea4 cw u2 and no rattle at all just a small gap with the bezel , i think they got the message.
Yep, no rattle on my EA4W either.
I bought two EA4W (one as a gift) and there was no rattle of any kind with either. This was after the initial few orders, so it's possible I got the lights from a later batch than the ones in which a rattle was reported.
