Just received my EC2 that was ordered on Boxing Day. …

- the manual I received was in Chinese

- there was no product insert

- spare o-ring is different from the one on the light

  • label on bottom of my box reads EC2 XPG2 SNO XXX


    From review on CP forum, light came with holster, wrist lanyard, extra o-ring, extra button cover sticker, manual (in English), warranty card and product insert.


    Also, label on Phantom23’s light (CPF member) reads EC2 XPG2 SMO XXX


I tested the different modes as well as power indicator and light seems to work fine.
Is the manufacturer just sloppy or something shady going on?

I haven't a Nitecore flashlight at the moment, but order some EA4 for friends. Not every flashlight got a product insert in the package.

The Chinese manuel wouldn't worry me, because why shouldn't Fasttech sell EC2 of the Chinese market. They sell, what they got from a wholesale dealer.

About the SMO/SNO - maybe it should say Smooth, but maybe not. I would send Nitecore an email and ask, if this could be possible and if the serial would be ok.
Does your flashlight have the same serial number on it?
