Nitecore Intellicharger I4 V2 acting up on 1 channel

I've had this for a little over a month now and so far I've been really happy with it.

But since the last couple of days the leftmost charging bay is acting up. When inserting a battery in it with a voltage higher than 3,5 V it will light all three diodes immediately. If the same battery is inserted in any of the other 3 bays the charger will start charging it as normal.

Does anyone have any idea bout what is going on? I've had that bay that is acting up do a "lock up" of the sliding lever and I have a suspicion that maybe something inside the charger is broken partly off so that a higher total resistance is "tricking" the bay to think that the battery is full? Does this sound right to anyone out there.

I have not taken the charger apart yet but am counting on doing it as soon as all my batts are fully charged up. But that may take a day before that happens.

Any help is appreciated. TY for reading.

I had the same thing happen once but it fixed it self after I charged a nimh in that channel. Maybe you could try that?

Good idea. I think I saw some on board actually. TY scaru :-)

No promises on whether that will fix it, that is just my experience. Good luck!

honestly, i am thinking that your unit is faulty, or has become faulty. maybe scaru's method will fix it.. fingers crossed

I have just inserted a Nimh rechargeable so we'll see in the morning if the fault persists.

@ Kreisler: Perhaps you are right but I hope not. I really like this charger. So much so that after having it for some time I think I should just have bought this a long time ago since it is so user friendly. It is thanks to you and your thread about the good deal on it that I finally got it. Haven't regretted it at all. In fact even if one channel will only charge Nimh from now on I'll still consider it a steal of a deal at 19 usd ;-)
