I picked up a Nitecore P12 that had been returned to a store for quite cheap. I’ve done this in the past with several different kinds of lights and the problems usually end up going away after cleaning things up, tightening things down, and putting in a fresh battery. For this one, I’m a little stuck. The light won’t consistently turn on and when it does, it only turns on in Low mode. I don’t believe the issue is with the tail switch as I can make a connection with a screw driver between the body and the end of the battery and it still won’t always turn on. Any suggestions where I might look? I’ve run about as far as my experience takes me.
Does anybody have a suggestion?
I’m sorry for your problem, I really don’t have a suggestion nor a clue, but I tend to believe it’s a driver issue and since Nitecore flahslights are very glued-up to prevent users messing with the internals (and voiding any assistance elegibility) I would consider contacting Nitecore for some customer support.
You say you’ve done it already, but unscrew all three parts and then re-assemble making sure all parts are tightly screwed in.
Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping to be able to get it working myself but it looks like that may not be the case. I’ll contact Nitecore and see if they’re able to help at all.
