Nitecore simplified the sliders on UM2 and UMS2 chargers; 10440 cells

When Nitecore displayed photographs of the sliders of its UM2 and UMS2 chargers, each slider had two tiny visible bumps.
Nitecore simplified the shape of the slider after Nitecore took those photographs. Each simplified slider lacked the two tiny bumps that were visible in Nitecore’s photographs.
I suspected that the removal of the tiny bumps from each slider, made electrical contact with some 10440 batteries either difficult or impossible. Therefore, I often placed a disc magnet with diameter 5mm on the negative pole of the battery, immediately before I used my UM2 and UMS2 chargers to charge my 10440 batteries. It would be interesting to know the reason for the simplification of the slider.
I attached a cropped version of Nitecore’s photograph of the sliders, and my dusty photograph of the simplified sliders on my Nitecore charger.

Looks like the UM(S)4 gets also this upgrade

But how to see which versions are in the shop? Maybe a simple V2.0-sign would help alot

Hard to tell what is in stock if they mix the inventory.

I wonder when they will update these chargers with USB-C

The product “photo” with the slider bumps does not seem to be a photo but rather a 3D rendering.

Yep, I agree. :+1:

My photograph is badly in need of some 3D rendering. My little old Xtar XP1 charger has one small bump on its slider. The bump is small enough to connect well with the negative pole on all my 10440 batteries.
I use my UMS2 charger without a Quick Charge power supply, and I can select a charging current of 100mA.
