I don’t really know the market like some of you, but between the Crelant 7G10 availability, and this (pre-?)announcement, it seems like there’s going to be a small flood of MT-G2 lights coming out soon.
I guess these were the lights originally prototyped as NWK1000 series. I have a Niwalker 550N3, and if the build of these new lights is anything like that light, I’m tempted. I seem to recall the MT-G2 version was a more neutral tinted light.
Looking forward to seeing more on these two lights - the Niwalker site doesn’t show the updated BL1 & BL2 specs yet.
No specific specs information of the German link yet but as I understand it the BK2 has a single mt-g2 LED. Can a single mt-g2 achieve 2.5k lumens? The Crelant 7G10, with a single mt-g2 claims 1800 in its specs. I was about to order the Crelant when I read some people posting about the BK2. Will it be worth the wait?
ahh, I was thinking BK2 was flood to throw, now that I’m on a computer (instead of phone) I can read the translation…sounds like it is a reflector light…lots of flood with some throw…
I’ll bet the Niwalker is in a different class as the 7G10. The quality of my Niwalker light is as good as or better than anything I have (Sunwayman, Klarus, Jetbeam, Fenix blah blah blah). I suspect this will be reflected in the price.
What I meant with the same class as in a Big-reflectored, same-LED, combination semi-flooder/thrower. If the BK2 is not, I’m getting the 7G10.
As to the manufacturing quality differences, well, that’s another matter.
