V1 has M-L-H mode distribution, Low mode is around 8 lumens and overlaps with Mid, and no mode memory. V2 has L-M-H-T distribution, memory, Low mode is about as dim as the AAA Tool, and it has a hidden Strobe by half-pressing the switch six times fast.

Jack, I’m afraid that is not completely true! I believe you may be talking about the Tool AAA, not the AA!

The Tool AA V1 has 3 modes (L-M-H). As you mentioned, the V2 has 4 modes and a Strobe somewhere!
I can’t remember if the V1 had a strobe, but I believe not. I was only 3 modes, lots of PWM and a great tint shift due to the XPL-HD and the SMO reflector

My copy of the Tool AA has L-M-H mode sequence. No strobe. Smooth reflector. CW tint. All my Tool AAA’s have M-L-H mode sequence.
