After a few months using the KR1AA as my main EDC light, there is one thing I’m still not in love with - the clip. On five-of-seven KR1AA torches, their clips spin. This included two with the clip O-ring mod.
The clip is also pretty flimsy.
To keep the tip of the clip from eventually scriving a wear line around the torch body, I have encapsulated it with a small piece of heat shrink tubing - at the very tip.
Clear heat shrink on the clip’s tip.
This also helps keep it retained in the thin material of my pajama bottoms.
Hope somebody comes up with a stiffer and thicker clip.
