Non Flashlight orders/received

Pentax Papilio 6.5x21 binoculars. They’ve got an unusual optical feature, enabling focus as close as 1.5 feet, which makes them like a handheld microscope. The clarity and detail is superb. Picked up a lightly used example for a steep discount.

I received this lightweight jacket today.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCGQZRW8
I wanted a jacket that is not very warm, and that has a high quality zipper.
(My current lightweight jacket has a :poop: zipper.)
This fit the bill perfectly.
It’s overpriced for what it is, but the jacket is really nice and I’m happy with it.

Okay, I changed my mind about the jacket in the previous post.
The jacket is extremely comfortable, but it’s not warm enough and it runs small.
I have the XXL, which is usually my size for shirts/jackets, but the sleeves are not long enough for me.
I ordered a different jacket from eBay and I’ll report back once I receive it (in a week or so). :+1:

local places do not give them away anymore
so i had to order some from Amazon.

Any particular reason you bought them.

The fourth time’s the charm?

This is my old lightweight jacket that I bought a couple of years ago.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QLRZWQM
It’s pretty good, and the jacket is warm enough for me, but the zipper is low quality and the zipper does not work very well anymore.

This is a lightweight jacket that I bought (and posted about) recently.

The zipper is fine, and the jacket is very comfortable, but it isn’t warm enough and the sleeves are too short so I returned it.

I received this lightweight jacket on Monday.

or
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013R99VC8
I bought it from eBay used for about 45% off of new.
The zipper is good, but the jacket is very lightweight and it’s not warm enough.
Also, on the inside it has cool-to-the-touch plasticky material that I don’t really like.
This jacket doesn’t have free returns, so I’m going to keep it.
I can wear this jacket when it’s a tiny bit cold, or maybe I’ll give it away to someone that will appreciate it more than I do.
It’s a very nice jacket, but it’s not what I was looking for.

That brings us to my fourth lightweight jacket (that I’ve bought somewhat recently.)
I received this one today.

Once again, the zipper is nice.
This jacket actually IS warm enough for me (as opposed to jackets #2 & #3).
It’s not perfect, but it’s probably the best of the four (for me.) :+1:
(The jacket could be a bit more comfortable.)

I’ve really gotta quit buying stuff that doesn’t have free returns if there’s a decent chance that I’ll want to return the item.
Being stuck with the eBay jacket isn’t that bad, though, so I guess it could be worse. :man_shrugging:

Wanted one of these for a long time now - finally decided to order.

I just wanted to share with you my find.
I needed a cheap speaker for my biking trips (I wouldn’t expose anything expensive for bumpy rides and weather conditions). Wasn’t expecting much considering the price. But I’m really surprised with the sound quality and runtime. Overall quality seems to be fine as well. Bought another for my wife.

IMHO - a great alternative to JBLs and such for 20% of the price. It often shows up in Choice listing for $12 including taxes and shipping. Nearly 2500 ratings with 5* can’t be wrong either.

I received this kitchen scale yesterday.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJXRPQD6
It’s only accurate to about a gram, but it weighs items up to 11 pounds (5 kilograms).
One feature this scale has that others don’t is that it can stay on for five minutes instead of only two minutes.
I thought that this feature would be useful to me, but I don’t think I’ll ever use it. :man_shrugging:
Still, it seems to be a pretty good scale for the money, and it’s way better than our ancient analog kitchen scale. :+1:

Got my new dashcam :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I’ve had one (different Manufacturer - Paladin (maybe?)) for like 40 years.
Best stripper for smaller gauge wire I’ve tried - and I’ve tried a bunch…
All the Best,
Jeff

Nice!
We have the Viofo A129 Plus Duo, which is still recommended here:

I was about to order about $16 worth of cables from Monoprice, but they wanted $9 for shipping, so instead I ordered something similar (plus some additional stuff to get free shipping) from Amazon.
Monoprice has some great products, and they’re frequently cheaper than Amazon (for the same or similar items) before shipping.
I think Monoprice offers free shipping if you order enough stuff, but I don’t usually order enough stuff to get free Monoprice shipping. :money_mouth_face:

salmon, cod, etc.
