Are high drain IMRs ever necessary for single LED lights?
I have a noctigon meteor and I know it requires high drains because of the number of LEDs and the amps it pulls but would you need high drains to get the most out of these 3?

The important determining factor is the driver, & not whether the light has 1 or more LEDs
For example the BLF A6 (single XP-L ) with its Bistro driver loves high drain batteries for maximum output.
The same applies to the BLF X6 & X5 flashlights.

Hey man,
I think all 3 lights work well with regular cells, so there is no need for high drain cells. However, some lights may perform a bit better with high drain cells as there is less voltage sag compared to regular cells.
The M2X-UT will probably benefit a bit from a high drain cell to maintain high output for a longer period. You will see this when plotting the runtime graphs using both type of cells. But I don’t think you’re going to notice this too much in real life.

That’s the combination I use and it works really well. All I had to compare with was an old laptop pull but the difference was significant in brightness and runtime. Prepare to be impressed with this light

You have to be careful
Some newer A6 have problem with heat transfer and the KEDs get cooked
A DTP board for the LED is cheap, gets the LED cooler so more lumens
