Not everybody likes me.

Some people obvious believe I cannot refuse to help them.

A few days ago I got a email stating:

I ignored the rest of the mail that asked about a faulty charge and only answered the above with:

Next email I got was:

That may be partially correct, he may have copied the text from a email he send to the seller, but that could not be seen in the email.
I have not answered it in 2½ days and now I get:

Why do some people believe they are entitle to tech support from somebody random on the internet?

I do often answer (technical) emails about stuff I have tested or written about, but I do not see it as a requirement that I do and I do definitely not think of myself as a free tech-support service.

I like you, HKJ!

We love you HKJ!

Some people are unable to tell the difference between reality and fantasy.

I certainly appreciate you. Always recommended your site to other people for trusted reviews.

haha go to “THE Hell”. Far more classy place than just “Hell”

Sir, your efforts and contributions in the world of cell technology and electronics analysis are invaluable, and a resource second to none. It goes without saying, what you do is appreciated beyond measure.

Fools exist everywhere. The internet has spoiled people who are too lazy to put the effort into, or lack the capacity to resolve their own problems. Don’t let them get under your skin.

Foreigners.

Chris

Thank you for posting the inane ranting from internet lunatics; it cheered me up.

Keep up the great work, thanks again for your efforts.

I buy things I can trust, for someone on the outside that looks like “more of te same”.
IF I buy a (to me) new battery or charger, I always look first if I you have tested it.
And I tell all people who ask me things about lights, to do the same.

I’ve read your reviews even before I joined BLF. And I will keep on doing so.
As for the schmuck and his hell, I think he is already living in his DIY version of it

HJK, you’ve been an amazing wonder of great things that we can pluck off the internet. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! There’s no accounting for crazy people, sorry you got an email from one.

Another thanks! This site and the world are better for your presence!

The unfortunate truth is, there are some individuals who posses an enhanced entitlement mentality, and in addition feel as though they're so "special" that they have no compunction about making demands upon others that are clearly beyond reason, with the expectation of garnering advanced attention at no cost to themselves.

To make matters worse, their writing skills are so lacking that they're incapable of crafting a document (or even a simple sentence) that effectively communicates using simple words in text.

Writing must be done carefully, as the advantages of rate, volume, pitch, articulation, pronunciation, and fluency, as when communicating by voice, are unavailable. A sentence that could be understood one way when spoken aloud might carry a completely different connotation when being read in text.

In other words, there are rude people possessed of entitlement mentality who can't communicate effectively in writing.

I won't even start on the whole 'anonymous keyboard commando' subject except to mention it. 'Nuff said.

I still consider myself a newbie re: the flashlight hobby. I've always considered HKJ's selfless contributions one of the most valuable aspects of BLF in particular and, of the Li-Ion cell landscape in general. The time & effort required by HKJ to build the database, and the website to make it available must be very significant. To be freely offered as a labor of love of the hobby shows depth of character. HKJ's data have been an invaluable learning tool for me.

For some anonymous individual to criticize HKJ for not offering free Tech support unrelated to HKJ' particular domain upon demand is simply a reflection of that anonymous individual's poor character & lack of judgement.

Your contributions are highly valued, and you have my (and, I'm certain, others') utmost respect HKJ! Thank You!

I appreciate all the reviews you do thanks.

Desperately out of their depth and flailing. Like some people do, they blame it on someone else.

You are an incredible asset to this community. I recommend your reviews/tests to friends all the time. What you do is way beyond what most people contribute. Thank you much.

HKJ, everybody that is sane and stable likes you. I’m sorry you receive abuse at the hands of the rest. Your efforts are appreciated not just here, but in every community that uses the things you review (rechargeable batteries, chargers, multimeters…).

Consider this a virtual HUG

Years ago, in the days of DOS.
I replaced a “customers” 286 motherboard with a 386.
Got his copy of DOS 2.xx working and all seemed fine.
Later he refuses to pay his bill. Why?
Because his son installed DOS 4.xx and his hot copy of a $1200 CAD? software would no longer print.
It was my fault, of course, not his son’s or the lack of support for the stolen software.

I was pissed for months, but decided it was easier to let it go rather than take him to small claims court.

Another time someone bought a $29 sound card - and was angry that I wanted a hours labor to drive to their house and install it or a half hours worth to install it in my shop.
There are jerks everywhere.
Try your best to ignore them.
All the Best,
Jeff

Don’t let the one bad apple ruin your day. Keep up the great work and thanks.

Some people are just ignorant, unappreciative and have distorted realities.

In addition those same people are just never happy unless they are bitching!

You have freely given thousands of hours of your time.

I appreciate you and so do 99.9% of the other members. :+1:

Thanks
