Not too happy with Customer Service of intl-outdoor.com

I ordered some stuff from intl-outdoor.com on the 19-Oct-2013 and another order on 19-Oct-2013 both marked as shipped.
Haven’t received any of them. When I contacted CS to inquire why I haven’t received their orders when I received order from other vendors already, I get this:
—————————————————————————————
Some orders go faster, some orders go slow.
Nothing much to explain.
Regards!
Joyce
—————————————————————————————

Nice!
Then I asked until when I should wait, they said:
————————————————————————————-
Please file a paypal dispute if you feel it’s necessary,
and wait longer.
If the order does not arrive finally, the payment will be returned to you.
Regards!
Joyce

Well no the dispute date is already gone of course and I cannot file a paypal dispute. But I did not appreciate the tone. Maybe English is not their mother tongue, but neither is English my mother tongue.
It was 2 first orders from them because well they looked like reliable. I know that many of you guys have are happy with their service but its one of the first time I feel like any of the flashlight vendors don’t need me as client, so be it then.
I will be probably loosing at least $14 in the process, not that much, but lesson learned indeed. ALWAYS file a paypal dispute in the given time frame provided.
End of rant.

i order Qlite driver and Noctigon led i wonder if it ever arrive its been more than 4 weeks right know :frowning:

whats cutoff timeframe for disputes on paypal anyway?

Most stores will say please don’t file a paypal dispute, just trust us & wait. And wait.

You seem to presume intl-outdoor won’t issue a refund if you ask.

45 days

My bad.
In fact I trusted and waited
Then I contacted CS to ask how much time i should wait.
CS says do file a paypal dispute, paypal will refund automatically.
hey too bad dispute date to file is already gone so no refund by paypal.

How much time to wait? -> file paypal-> cannot file dispute -> now what?
Ask for refund? wait? forget about all this and go to work.

wow, this sucks.

hopefully you learned a lesson from it.

:tired:

The first time I ordered a noctigon from them it took a full month to arrive.
Second order arrived in less than 2 weeks.

Well, the problem with me is that I tend to trust.
CS just told me that they will refund the first order if I don’t receive it after 2 months.
But, man 2 months? Is the order going to the moon and back or what?
OK, i’ll just have to wait.

Some orders go faster, some orders go slow.
Nothing much to explain.

Translation:
Some orders are really shipped when they are marked as shipped, some orders are not really shipped, only marked as shipped.
This is the explanation.

Their response is somewhat poetic and zen:
“Some orders go faster, some orders go slow.
Nothing much to explain.
Regards!
Joyce”

My first order from IO took ages - I just forget about it and then enjoy the surprise when it shows up in the mailbox.
(And I don’t order a heap of stuff in one go… just in case.)

Is still really ios?

Didn't know Joyce was working there.. I only know a Joyce from FT

Joyce is the one from MF

she always gave me a hard

Joyce is my mother.
She doesn’t work anymore

I never had problems with IOS. But I had one order that took 3 months to arrive.

My switches took 4 weeks to arrive

Calm down. Just wait a little longer.

Mine shipped 5th Nov and arrived 30th Nov. Singapore -> UK

do i have the choice?

I've had a few orders from IO including one about 12 months ago that shipped without a P60 dropin.

I contacted Hank and was advised it had been shipped separately about a week later as it wasn't in stock at the time. I too was advised to wait a little longer. It never showed up and unfortunately there was no tracking number for that single item.

I just arranged with Hank to keep a credit on my account for the next order. He was happy with this and it was honored recently.

I don't know Joyce or if their shipping is slower now than it was a year ago, but I trust they won't rip you off. The long wait times suck though!

Just out of curiosity, wasn't mid-October around the time when the HK postal system collapsed due to Li-Ion restrictions being introduced? From comments made in other threads (Fasttech for example), it seems there is no effort over there to clear the backlog in any kind of logical order. If your shipment is at the bottom of a large pile it may take longer for them to clear it. Apparently it seems the idea of "first-in-first-out" is beyond their comprehension.
