After going deep into a cave and switching off all the lights I was able to experience true absolute darkness. I now carry four or five lights instead of the minimum three.
I don’t know how you all do it. I’m not claustrophobic at all, but scenes like where they went through that tunnel after knocking the rocks down kind of creeped me out :(. I think it’s kind of like the “buried alive” kind of feeling :(.
I was uncomfortable a time or two when I first started caving. But it gets easier the more you go underground. And the reward is well worth the risk. It’s amazing how beautiful a cave can be. As a bonus the caving community is small but it’s full of friendly helpful people much like the BLF.
Yeah I went caving/spelunking once. I didn’t enjoy it. Way too claustrophobic for it. Almost lost my shit at one section we inched thru on our bellies. Was cool when we got in there though. Definitely gives a new meaning to darkness. Truly cannot see a hand in front of your face.
I was always hoping to find a mineshaft by my cottage, so I could put an outhouse on top of it.
Hahaha nice
I like mineshaft.
I remember the scene at the near end of movie where the main cast swim thru underwater tunnel finding way out.
definitely, power source aka super long life battery is more important. as substitution, self glowing substance is also good.
do we have any thread for self glowing substance? i’d like to learn more
