So, in the process of doing research into vehicle packs, I stumbled across this, um, analysis of the cost of Tesla Model S battery packs from 2013.

I’m posting it because I thought some of you would be amused at the way the author used prices for “4,000 mAh” Ultrafire cells and $1/each pricing for undoubtedly genuine, new, Panasonic NCR18650B from AliExpress sellers as inputs for his estimates.

So, exactly how many 18650 cells can we harvest out of those tesla batteries :wink:

and for the guy to even consider **fire batteries…uggh
