I ordered a few items from DX a couple of weeks ago. Order placed on July 11, but it was split. The first shipment went out on Friday, July 12, the second one the following Monday, July 15. Great turnaround for DX! Shipped out via Singapore Post. Both parcels heading my way, but tracking shows something a little bit worrying:
One package, in Dallas and heading my way! The second package is taking the scenic route through beautiful downtown Detroit... Uh-Oh...
Two postmen, one from Dallas and one from Detroit, walk into a bar in Detroit.
Bartender: What’ll you fellas have. Dallas postman: Anything cold and wet! Detroit postman: Cheapest thing you’ve got, I’m a little snookered right now. Bartender: How about a Detroit River Martini? Detroit postman: No thanks, the tap water is bad enough. Bartender: There’s no water in a Detroit River Martini. Detroit postman: These cutbacks are killing me!
In the last year I have had half a dozen of my shipments rerouted to Allen Park. I have no idea what is going on with that. I live in Northern Michigan and my packages end up half way North and then turn around and go back South again adding two extra days at least. One Package took nine days to get from New York to Northern Michigan because of that very thing.
I would not worry too much USPS does groovy stuff like that all the time. I am in Indiana and it routinely routes packages to the West Coast via Pittsburgh.
