Older Quark Turbo?

I’m wondering if anyone here has something like this… a Quark 123 Turbo on a Quark mini body? I saw one in some thread (at CPF). Picture a C10 head on a single CR123 body.

If different looking but it was nice looking. It was at least well made in appearance as opposed to all the sharp edges and fins and all of the usual nonsense.

However, there is nothing offered like that now. 4sevens offers the XM-L Turbo and the XP-G Turbo. It seems silly to not carry the best throwing version (XR-E) when the product is a thrower!

I’m just curious if anyone on here has that combination of the older style Turbo and a Mini-123?

Why can’t the Chinese ever pick something like that (unique) to knock-off? I’d buy a cheaper version of that! I dislike the size and bulk of C10 and C8 lights but if you took made a smooth head and added a short 1 CR123 battery tube it would be quite nice and certainly unique.

I do not think that it is possible as the quark and quark mini series have different threads. You could make an adapter if you have the materials and tools though.

Correct. I had a Turbo and I would use an Quark AA body for a short option. The pictures are in the original announcement thread.

Here’s what I was looking at:

I guess it’s a Turbo X on a 123 body.
