Being that I don’t like to get too technical. Keep things user friendly for people like …. me. This is a very nice & simple tactical light. The machine work on this little light is what one comes to expect from Olight. It has a rear ‘clicky’ that protrudes & doesn’t allow the light to tail stand. A small powerhouse weighing in at 4.5 ounces. High ( 420 lumens ) & low ( 80 lumens ) are selected by twisting the head of the light.
A hand shot for a idea of size.

With such a simply designed UI. Not a lot to go on about with this light. I will say this. I wasn’t overly impressed with this light when I initially received it. It was daylight and I was shining it around a bright house. I sat & played with it and then!! It got dark!! I was much more impressed after the sun dropped. While not having a super clearly defined hotspot. The hotspot is visible with a very effective mixture of flood & throw.

Olight i6 @ 50 Feet

The XML emitter seems to be well centered amid a orange peel reflector.

My conclusion, all in all a really nice, simple EDC. No frills, Just a good carry light that won’t take a rocket scientist to operate.

If you are looking for a simple, rugged well made EDC… Can’t hurt to check out this little monster… I imagine this will be one of those lights that lasts forever. Thanx for reading and happy light beams to all.

Nice review by the way. Thanks for the link dale.
That’s one of the great things about this forum besides its members.
You can actually link to the item being discussed.

Nice light, I'm not sure if your camera has a macro mode but you might want to use something like that for the picture of the LED and reflector.

Have you ever given a compliment without directions ? FOR THE RECORD… I just found macro, & I hate you…. LMAO

I used one under a house tonight looking at some plumbing on the far end, this light was like bringing a big dose of sunlight under there, man, it is a fine light.

Me likey. Simple good.

If it was closer to 40 or 35 that would be a really killer buy.

I love mine.

It kinda grows on ya.

I should have snagged one of these when Wallbuys had them for 70% off. :X

Actually… One of my more practical lights. LOL

I can’t believe they remade a great light (the A6 Polestar) into this thing, which requires 2xCR123s. All they had to do is keep the 6xAAs of the Polestar and replace the MC-E with an XM-L. Done. Now they have a light that is significantly stronger than the 2xAAs, uses common batteries, and half the price of the nearest competitor (Fenix TK40,41,45).

I like it with 2xcr123a or 1x 18650,i wouldn’t have bought it if it was aa’s.

if anyone is wondering the anti roll rubber attachment from a mini maglite works extremely well for tailstanding… it slips over the tailcap and is nice and snug… it will unscrew with the tailcap and not fall off and provides perfect tailstanding

for those who are wondering what this anti roll rubber attachment is here it s photo for reference

+1 thanks Paul

Thanks for sharing Dale. It actually looks like a nice light build wise, did you manage to take a tailcap reading ?

NOPE! but I can if you tell me how?? Lol
