Nice! I was just thinking last week about making a triple out of one of my S15’s (with high CRI Oslons and stock driver) and now you did it, nice! 
Its a tricky one!
The MCPCB has to be filed down from 20mm to 17mm, and the original pill needs to be grinded down flat for the 17mm triple to sit on
was a pain, but a nice little light at the end
be careful with the button, Ive done a few of the S series lights now, and I’ve sliced the button every time! hence the new silicone button!
Very nice mod James. Its a shame about the switch boot not surviving but it sounds like you made a good recovery.
*filing down the board to 17mm is no problem (disk sander )
*I think I will get away, heat-wise, with keeping the rim on the pill and placing the spacer (I will need one, right?) either on the rim, or inside the cavity, this light will not be used with a li-ion cell, and on a alkaline/NiMh cell the current will not get over 1A (I think). This way I need not remove the pill (the pill can be slided upwards a bit and then the mod can be worked on with the pill inside thr light), and I can save the stock button.
