Hey all,
I have been reading reviews on this flashlight and really like its features. Found a great deal on gearbest… is this website to good to be true ?
I currently own the Fenix PD35 860 Lumen version and I have a Sofirn SP31 V2.0 on order.

You are aware that this light has the older Cree XM-L2 U3 LED??.

The bezel/head is glued also. Mine malfunctioned after dropping it from waist high onto tiled floor and will only operate in moon mode now. Will have to call and request for repair from Olight.

It does come with a proprietary battery if I’m not mistaken.
That means it can run on regular high drain 18650 batteries.
But those can’t be charged in the light, sitting on its magnetic dock.

To be honest I don’t know what is the latest and greatest LED technology I just read the reviews and liked all the features and thought it would be a nice night table stand flashlight that can sit on its charging dock. Do you have any similar options with newer LED tech ?

I own the S30r ii and love it. I used it as a carpenter in the field daily for 18 months. I stopped using it as my EDC light for a few reasons, I put it in my mouth a lot and it is a hair too heavy for that, and my jaw cramps. I also realized my flashlight and Leatherman skeletool wear on my slacks, I used to find this charming, but I’m back in the office, got new slacks, and so I’ve recently been exploring 14500 lights and the Astrolux S1 w/18350. This is a whole story by itself cause I didn’t know how much i used the moonlight mode, that long hold for moonlight, or double tap for turbo is a great interface.

You have to remember I’m in Canada so I’m looking at best price with shipping and in Canadian funds. I just realized that the link I posted the item is discontinued…

This is the Olight I’m looking at now… 89$CDN funds shipped with battery and charger.
Thoughts ?
