Oh gee let me see like when I called Olight and they told me the release date; it’s in their best interests to divulge no secretes….

No they didn’t if you followed the progression they put hype into the market with no backing; nothing to show for it; except recently hmm 4 months ago… you started seeing the light show up at events… so much for secretive…

” I sent money to him as Friend and Family to help him out thinking he was a good guy. If I did that in March or April, that money would have been hopeless ”
Never send any payments via Friends and Family. You have NO WAY of getting it back.

It is not “fully” enclosed as people might think from your statement. It is partially enclosed. There are many holes in the body to let air into and out of the light. This does seem to be effective as it is currently the light with the highest fully sustained output of about 7000 lumen.

You probably could do that if you are adventurous. The same way people swap 18650 in tool battery packs. You take the battery pack out of the tube, slice the blue shrink wrap then disconnect all the spot welded connectors. Swap the batteries to the brand you want, them either spot weld or solder the packs back together. You can buy heatshrink tubing for 4 x 18650 online. Put it all back together and back into the black tube. It’s not a job for a beginner, but I’m sure it can be done.
Ps, Don’t let the factory know because it will void the warranty.
