Since vinh from sky Lumen is putting these LEDS in all kinds of things like d4 and such, what’s the requirements for these kinds of LEDS? Can I just reflow them onto per say a emisar D4’s 4xp board and call it a day? Or is there something else I have to do to get it running properly?

White2 = W2 = OSRAM KW CSLPM1.TG – 2mm2 = 1550L @ 8.5A/3.3Vf

Main issue is that they’re 3030 not 3535 - while they’ll teeeeeechnically fit, they’ll also not sit quite right.

Next issue is one of amperage; they can take up to around 5A for 1mm (IIRC), and ~8A for 2mm each. Although in something like a D4 with a 30Q, should be fine even on turbo.

Then you have the issue of aligning them in the TIR both X and Y plane, but also Z. Might end up with a horrible beam if not sitting right.

So while it is technically possible, it’s maybe not the best idea. But if you’re determined, go nuts, and post the results!

Led4Power sells some MCPCBs for 3030 LEDs. Though as of now there is no board dedicated to Emisar D4 optics.
