One year ago today

I put down the stinkies…PAD of Reds for almost 20 years…at the going rate then of approx $5.50 a pack

Glad to be free

Congratulations! Was vaping your gateway drug to flashlights?

Yup…had to have something to put the “not good enough for vaping” batteries into

Come to find out the wattage I vape at thru electronic regulation laptop pulls would work fine

Meh…flashlights are fun, vaping is LIFE!

Congrats on quitting the cigs!
I quit in June of 2012, making it over 2 years now, then i picked up the Flashlight habit.

Good for you, WarHawk!

I have a similar story.

Three years ago, I quit using cannabis. I smoked and vaped marijuana for ten years, and I'm happy to have quit.

Now the only substance I abuse is caffeine. 8)

Oh yeah…caffeine…another chemical stimulant I need to kick

I hope I'm not overdoing it with the caffeine.

I used to drink cappuccino every now and then, but I ran out the mix.

Now I drink green tea and black tea all day long.

I don't get caffeine headaches, but I know it can't be good for me.

Green tea IS actually good for you

Nice.

Black tea, it has been found, is as good as green tea. Either way, caffeine is better than the toxin/tar stuff.

Congrats. Similar story here. About 1 year ago too. I had my lung capacity checked a few months back. Reduced my "lung age" about 20 years! in less than one year (Woot) and increased capacity by something remarkable too but that figure I forgot. I remember the 20 years though!

I watched dad quit in the 80s. It was 1988 and he was over 40 then. I remember he literally cried the first 9 months of going cold-turkey. I remember the cold showers and him going running at all hours of the night to clear his head. I’ve never had that addiction, but I do believe from this that it is other-worldly tough in nature.

Interesting, it seems like anyone who has landed on tea as his quitting habits boost, is somehow ahead of the game, usually it is coffee.

It seems that you are pretty on top of things and that you are pretty close to being where you want to be with this stuff.

For people who are trying to wean themselves off caffeine, instant coffee isn’t too bad, it isn’t great tasting, but adequate for the purpose, and it is easy to manage doses, and how many cups one drinks.

I forgot, instant tea, same as instant coffee, it doesn’t taste great, but good for weaning off a strong habit of good tea.

Congrats!

Smoking is quite rampant in Korea (50% of males smoke) and many of my friends do too. :~

Glad to hear. I stopped after a week in college, very glad I didn't pick up the habit.

I guess I should have mentioned that I drink the instant tea. It's cheap, convenient, and I kinda like the taste.

Yah….NOT starting would have been the “easy” route…seriously

MIO water flavorer is another option. No caffeine, no calories, sweet taste, portable, and cheap.

$5.50 is a great price, they are over $10 here!
*I quit around 5 years ago
Congrats!

$2.50 here, probably why so many people smoke. :frowning:

Congrats buddy.

e-cigs were also my gateway to flashlights.

I started vaping about 6 years ago, something like that. Way before they got all the cool equipment they do now.

I’m vaping cinnamon/bubble gum right now at about 1ohm in a dripper.
