This guy I worked with was in the Navy on the flight line, and he told me that if even so much as a single screw or washer was unaccounted for, they’d line up and search the entire deck until they found it, in formation like when you see volunteers searching the woods for clues to a missing kid or something. NOTHING happens until they find it.
