OpenCandy ( adware - spyware - ??ware )

Just a note , AVG free does not report OpenCandy , Avira does and removes it if possible , sometimes if opencandy is too well embedded into the software Avira will remove the entire program package ...

Yep, malware bytes...

and OpenCandy is really annoying!

I don't think Avast automatically deletes software that has OpenCandy, which is good for people that are really careful.

(And it's far too easy to install malware if you're not careful.)

Not sure if it still does, but avast Free used to come with OpenCandy |(

To find out if a suspicious file is infected...

check out these two websites.

Free Candy. What could go wrong?

try using universal extractor to pull the item of interest from the installer package.this works with imgburn.i also hostfiled opencandy urls.
no network connection defeats it too.
