Please recommend me optimal LED throw/spill and battery for CONVOY L21A.

The L21 series are dedicated throwers. And the best LED for that is the SFT40. Same reach as the W1 but with more lumens and bigger and more useful hotspot. As per the battery, it is not a very demanding light, so I would go with the largest capacity possible. 5000+mAh.

“Not a very demanding light…” which is a crying shame because the SFT40 rocks at much higher amps than these lights typically allow. 11A for me, thankyouverymuch
For what reason do you choose to run SFT40 at 11A? It is past peak output per djozz’s test, which means lots of heat generation with no additional lumens to account for it.
10-10.5A reached peak on Jos’s power supply in the test. Real world is not a lab test. We can’t just suggest to our cell and our MOSFET to play nice and not exceed a specific amperage. So , I choose to aim high. The cell will sag and optimum power will be passed on the way down in 3, 2, 1….
