Title says it all . My use case is making people go ‘wow’ and imitating the interiors of campfires, and I prefer the throwiest emitters, so w1 sounds ideal, considering the d18 hotspot will be huge regardless.
I have a deep-red sst-20 light, and it’s nice, but as others have pointed out, the 660nm comes out pinkish at times.
I’ve read (but not verified) that all the osram red/blue/green emitters are saturated like the sst-20’s are, but are the w1’s a different shade of red? And are there any reasons why an sst-20 d18 would be superior to the red osram?
I mean, I figure there has to be a reason why the sst-20 is on the muggle menu, and the osram w1 red is on the ‘you better know what you’re asking for’ semi-secret menu.
