Orfos Pro Bike lights / anybody own?

I’m looking to get a few of these. Anybody here purchase these? There are few Youtube videos of these, indicating to me maybe they are not all that great. I like the design, and the UI, and the spread of the light (180 degrees). Sale ends tomorrow night, 15% off. Thanks for any replies.

I haven’t bought one yet… But been very tempted. I think the concept is fantastic and the use of so many LEDs means it can sustain high output efficiently and without overheating. The other bonus is that it’s not blinding to oncoming traffic or pedestrians the way single LED lights are. I already own a very similar light by Knog for my bike although it’s not as bright as these. If Orfos releases a 90 CRI version with a good tinted LED, I would not hesitate to buy one!

yes, the theory behind the making of this light was to make the rider ‘seen’ by others .

I like the warm tint of 3000K. They also offer an amber tint, interesting

A bit pricy. but that combo. combined with a decent thrower at front.
Would be near the perfect light set for a treadlie.
You see them/ they see you.

I use a 4 in wide rear red flasher mounted on Saddle stem with 18650 cell.

With a combo of Hakaelite HT08 mounted on frame front,
(A 175ishdeg no glare spread good for around 50 ft from my wheel forward.)
Combined with a XML-Hi Headlight with 2 x 18650 cells.

Cost me around $85AUD all up and does a decent job for my eyes, plus well visible…

You’d definitely be “visibly”safer with this kit. But I’d prefer 5000k

Normal bike lights are not really made to make YOU conspicious.
apart from the coupla flashing rears. But they tiny.

This is my bike setup:

(White one up front, red one at the back)
-Same concept as Orfos but not in the same league. Built in battery but significantly less bright. Surprisingly visible from a distance despite lower lumens. The Orfos must be AMAZING in comparison.

When the Knog breaks, or gets old, will most likely replace with the Orfos Pro.

That’s expensive, esp so if you are going to be stacking it for more light output/reach.

WTF does it look like? I hate websites that don’t show a close up of the product :expressionless:

Thanks Pavlo. So it’s a mule. That explains the hikers wearing it. Might be ok on a mountain bike in the bush but not really suitable for road biking.

I think it was originally intended as a road biking light for being seen by others on the road. It’s more of a safety light. If you are road cycling at high speeds in complete darkness, you would need a light with more reach.

thanks for the picture Pavlo, I had not seen this one before, and yes it is frustrating that their website dose not have any good pictures …… WHY NOT?

The thing is small at just 3”.

I think I read that the white offering has 32 LEDs while the red has 40. The UI selects several modes but also has 10 incremental steps for ramping the current up or down.
