I can’t speak for anyone else but I put in a request for it the instant I saw the SolarStorm site announcing it was available.

True on the it being a little underdriven. I was impressed with its VERY small loss in lumens though. Bothers SP03 only dropped about 20 lumens from start to 30 seconds. Even though Kings and Kungs have about the same initial output, their output drops like a rock in that same 30 seconds. Usually 100-200 lumen loss in the many I’ve tested.
But sure would be nice to have that same nice thermal properties AND 2.5-3A per LED on the SP03’s though.

I will give it that. I think I could run the batteries dead and it would not lose light from overheating. It throws too. I Zapped a couple deer the other night with it and was able to walk up to about 20 feet from them before they trotted off. They were like deer stuck in the headlights. One was a young buck still in velvet the other I’m guessing was his sister. Last years fawns.
