Overdriving this LED help.

hi
…if say a nichia 4000k 93 cri was driven at around 3A, would it lose any characteristics as in tint and CRI or is it best safe at say 1/1.5A?.
when could the tint change and CRI at what amp?.
whats best?.

re this LED:

*Thermal resistance: 6C/W
Max Forward Current: 1.5A
Max Junction Temperature: 150C
Color Rendering: Ra 92
Electrically neutral thermal path
SW40 Tint
D200 Flux Bin(200-220lm@700mA)
L2 Voltage Bin (2.9-3.1V@700mA)*

thanks.

Yes it will dramaticly drop in either CRI, led life, tint and so on
Usualy emitters` CRI is measured at 350/700/1050 lumens( the last is for XPL only): the ANSI standart says: 1 watt, so even at 1.5amps the CRI wont be 92 or 94 as advertized - yes, the emitters producer will state othervise but its usualy not true
