P60?

Are there any options for running a P60 with a 1xAA power source? First though it Solarforce but not sure if any of the body configs will work? I have a couple of different M31 modules and I’d like to try one out on a single AA.

For Solarforce, you should be able to run with - Solarforce L2M (short section of 2-section body ) with Solarforce 18650 body extender = 2x18500 or 2x14500/AA with sleeve

Other pricier options - Malkoff MDC HA 2AA or any 9P-type body with sleeve to make up for battery width.

AA’s might work for lower level output but might be challenged driving anything more.

There are drivers that’d run off 1-2 AAs and output up to 800mA to an LED.

That’s a great option. I’ll have to look through their options more, too. Ideally I’d like a 2-mode low-high driver without memory but maybe those aren’t widely available.

Anything with a µC can be crap, though.

No µC, it belts out as much power as it can scrounge right to the LED, unmolestered. As long as it sees power, it keeps on keeping on.

Stick a µC in the middle, and when it can’t keep its wits, it shuts down. End up getting weird blinking and finally nothing at all, whereas the µC-less one will keep on chugging right along.
