painting with light...

My girlfriend toni sent me this link.

I only just looked at it, I was pretty busy this morning but its cool enough to have to share, I’d like to know what light he was using.

There’s a whole load of pictures to cycle through at the bottom of the page.

Wow! That is awesome. It must be a fairly powerful light considering it shows up that bright on a 7 minute exposure. It probably is an aspheric since it is a line like that, or maybe a low powered laser pointer? :D

Q5 aspheric? I’d like to see the outtakes, there must have been many cock ups…

The camping skeletons cracked me up.

Very cool, thanks for sharing!

That is some impressive stuff! Thanks for sharing. :)

Wow, so many individual lines.

His light probably only has one mode :stuck_out_tongue:

Impressive.
Thanks for sharing.

After reading this thread I just had to give it a try.

This was my first attempt.

So you just flipped your second attempt in MSpaint?

Light painting is an old photo trick, but one very cool application of it is to selectively light up nature scenes at night (you can do this over many minutes) to create “surreal” images. Or other sorts of scenes, too: Light Painting a B-25 Bomber - Make:

Nope. As soon as I realized what I did wrong I started writing it backwards with the flashlight. It took me a few tries but finally figured it out. I had more problems with the 'S' for some reason.
