Will these three different parallel wiring ways result in same? The reason I’m asking is because I have concerns regarding voltage drop between LED’s. Does the furthest LED (from the source - battery) receives less voltage resulting in lesser performance? Please advise.
Depends from current.
In you drawings you meant same wire size between stars and from driver, right? In this case there will be no difference, wires from driver will be limiting factor in all 3 schemes.
My main concern voltage drop on LED 3 (furthest) in drawing No.2. This wiring scheme would suit me best because it requires only 2 wires going to driver. It is a triple XPL-HI at 12A. I can use different wires (thicknesses), it is not a problem.

If you use thin wires everywhere, you can have such problems.
If you use thick wired everywhere, you wont have such problems.
Things you are talking about will influence when wires from the driver to the led is three times more section (or ten times less length) than wires between stars.
As mentioned above use wire thick enough for the job :+1:
However if you really want the resistance path to be the same for all led’s this is the way.
One big disadvantage to this way is the wires need to be the same length, meaning you will be twisting them to make them fit.

I thought that was obvious that I was referring to the parallel wires only
I only mentioned it because I did see a parallel setup (not led) with four units and he had wired the inner wires as short as possible for neatness, ruining the whole idea of wiring them like that.
First option with similar lengh to each star will give same voltage
But in reality the LEDs wont have the same forward voltage, to eaqual the currents through all 3 LEDs you need to do different voltage drop for each LED so the current is same
place the emitters with positive contacts facing towards center. Solder copper disc to the three emitter’s positive pads. Solder positive lead from driver to copper disc. Then run a solid 12ga household romex wire in a circle around the outside of the 3 emitters and solder this to the neg pads, either directly or with short leads. Connect driver neg lead to this large copper “fuel rail”. Then call Scotty to ” give ’er all she’s got!”
I’d guess if you test the LEDs and sort in order that the lowest forward voltage goes on the right and work back. The LEDs will almost certainly have more variation than the wire if it’s correctly sized.
The reality is that it doesn’t really matter. You’ll only see it at a very low moon level where one emitter may appear dimmer than the others, but of course the light is meant to be used for it’s output not stared at.
My “fuel rail” variation is for max amps and output, particularly in a quad arrangement.
I like to use minimum 20 Ga leads for a triple, 18 Ga where they fit.
The only other way you’re likely to realize a disparity is if you push a buck driver too far and it has spikes at start-up, then the first emitter in the string will blow bond wires, maybe even the second… you’ll have to address the driver issue at any rate so it’s still irrelevant about unequal delivery to the emitters. (I’ve really only seen this happen with like 7 or more emitters in a parallel string)
I can use 20AWG easily for this build, maybe even 18AWG. Basically, it wont make much difference one way or the other if I use thicker wires. Thanks to everybody .
