That makes the lights too inconvenient for me. Lights I use even semi-regularly, even if just every couple of weeks, I keep loaded. I don’t even lock them out.

I do check the tail current for standby drain when I get a new light. If it’s too high, it simply never gets used. That’s almost never a problem with today’s lights. The last light I noticed with an unacceptably high drain was the FT02.

Zebralights, which is what I use most, have the lowest standby drains. 20+ years, so it’s simply not worth worrying about.
